About Fujinote

Fujinote is a Japanese stationery company based in central Tokyo. We curate and ship high-quality stationery products to customers in over 100 countries.

Our name combines 藤 (fuji), the Japanese kanji for wisteria, with ノート (noto), the Japanese word for notebook.

What we do

We source stationery directly from the Japanese market and make it accessible internationally. Being located in Tokyo gives us access to products and releases that are difficult to find outside Japan. We test everything we carry, using these products in our own work for journaling, art, packing, and daily tasks.

Our catalog focuses on items we believe are worth using. Quality pens that improve the writing experience. Paper that handles different media well. Notebooks and planning tools that serve specific purposes. We're selective about what we stock because we want our selection to reflect what actually works.

How this started

Our founder was living in Tokyo and regularly buying Japanese stationery. Friends and family abroad started asking them to ship specific items: particular pen models, planners, paper products that weren't available internationally. What began as informal requests turned into a systematic operation.

We realized there was a gap between the Japanese stationery market and international customers who wanted access to it. That gap became our focus.

Our approach
